In September 2020, the members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from the partner school Şehit Ali Aksoy Ortaokulu from Akhisar (Turkey) worked on the topic of a traditional Turkish folk dance from the Black Sea region called Horon. After being informed about this topic and carrying our research, the pupils created a PowerPoint presentation.

A well-known folk dance, Horon is performed in Northern Turkey on the Black Sea Coast.  The dance is characterised by very fast, shivering, trembling body movements, and its fast melodies are played by kemençe, stringed bowed musical instruments.
