The collection “Beyond the borders” gathers all the informative materials presented by the pupils from national project teams during the five exchange visits of the project.

The first short-term exchange of groups of pupils within the Erasmus + project “Hand to Hand – Together in Europe” took place between 25th February and 1st March, 2019. The visit was hosted by the partner school Agrupamento de Escolas de Samora Correia from Samora Correia (Portugal). The exchange visit was dedicated to the activity of the club “Nature wonders”, on the topic “Cultural and intercultural dimensions”, and had as main objectives promoting the natural heritage from all partner counties, as well as exposing the target groups of pupils to the Portuguese education system and culture.

Between the 13th and the 17th of May 2019, pupils and teachers from all the partner countries involved in the Erasmus+ project “Hand to Hand – Together in Europe” attended the second short-term exchange of groups of pupils (C3), which was hosted by the partner school Şehit Ali Aksoy Ortaokulu from Akhisar (Turkey). This transnational learning/teaching/training activity was dedicated to the works of the club “Art heritage” and it was entitled “Communication and interpersonal relationships”. The topic of the physical mobility was becoming acquainted with the artistic, folkloric and cultural heritage from all the five partner countries.

The third short-term exchange of groups of pupils (C4) organised within the Erasmus+ project “Hand to Hand – Together in Europe” took place between the 25th and the 29th of November 2019, and it was hosted by the partner school Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina from the town of Palestrina (Italy). This transnational learning/teaching/training activity, entitled “History and millennial culture”, was dedicated to the activity of the project club “The whisper of the past builds up the future”. The topic of the exchange visit was becoming acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage from all the partner countries.

Between the 17th and 21st of February 2020, the partner school Rīgas 22. vidusskola from the city of Rīga (Latvia) hosted the fourth short-term exchange of groups of pupils (C5) organised within the Erasmus+ project “Hand to Hand – Together in Europe”. This transnational learning/teaching/training activity had as topic becoming acquainted with the musical and cultural heritage from all the partner countries. Entitled “Cultivating assertive behavior through art”, the exchange visit was dedicated to the activity of the project club “It’s us! – songs and dances”.

Between October 6th and 10th, 2020, pupils and teachers from the partner countries involved in the Erasmus+ project “Hand to Hand – Together in Europe” took part in the fifth short-term exchange of groups of pupils (C6), which was hosted by the coordinating school Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania). This transnational learning/teaching/training activity, scheduled to take place in June 2020, had to be postponed and then organised online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The participating pupils and teachers connected for approximately three hours a day using Google Meet video-communication service, divided into two sessions. Entitled “The theatre – art of free expression”, the last exchange visit of the HHTE project was dedicated to the works of the club “The magical world of fairy tales” and had as topic becoming acquainted with the cultural and literary heritage from the partner countries.
