In September 2019, the members of the club “The magical world of fairy tales” from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina (Italy) told stories in Italian and in English about their summer experiences. These were gathered in the material that you can read by accessing the following link https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Jene975uyy1Yt6wPFVLL4qLxvIZA00ox or below.

SUMMER MEMORIES

by Ludovica Longo

On 15th July I went to my cousin’s wedding.
In the morning we went to the bride’s house, the bride was already dressed and she was making pictures, then we went by cars to the church. During the ceremony I was sitting next to my uncle and the bride’s parents.
At the beginning of the ceremony my uncle accompanied my cousin to the altar. She was very, very beautiful, she had a white dress, long hair over her shoulders and a long white veil on her head. After the ceremony we all came out of the church and threw the rice to the spouses.
Then, while the bride and groom were taking pictures, we went to the restaurant. There were white decorations in the room where we ate. I was sitting at the table with all the my other cousins. The tables were nicknamed with the names of the cities, we were at Rio de Janeiro’s table.
Towards the end of the day we threw the groom in the pool. Before leaving, the bride and groom gave us the favors. My favourite part was the first dance of the spouses because it was so sweet!

Summer memories

by Darius Iustin

Last summer I was at my uncle wedding with my family. We went to the church to participate at the wedding mass. It took thirty minutes and then we moved to the restaurant. I went with my mum, my sister, my dad and my grandma… I wore a black pair of trousers and a white shirt, a tie, and a pair of black shoes. We danced and sang too, and it was really funny. We finished at midnight but my cousins weren’t tired, so we stayed till 6 o’clock in the morning.

My Uncle’s Graduation

by Alessandro Filippi, III E

I have a very young uncle, whose name is Angelo. He is my Dad’s brother, but he is much younger than my Dad is. He is, in fact, 26 years old.
In July, after several years of hard study and work, my uncle Angelo achieved a very important goal: his graduation in Chemical Engineering. I remember that day. I went to attend the discussion of his graduation’s thesis degree at the Faculty of Engineering at University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Before the discussion, my uncle looked like terribly scared. Luckily, he made a very brilliant discussion and everything was fine. My uncle’s friends gave to him a graduate crown that he put on his head. My grandfather took a lot of pictures of my uncle with my siblings and me.
We went to the restaurant with all the relatives to celebrate that moment. The restaurant was a little far from the University and, when we arrived there, we were terribly hungry. We ate so much: starter with Italian “salame” and “prosciutto”, first dishes with pasta and then roasted beef. Of course, at the end, we also ate a very good chocolate cake.
It was a very funny day. Nicely, my uncle Angelo kept the graduate crown on this head for all the time!
