For good luck during the whole year, the members of the club “Art heritage” from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) started 2020 with the traditional Sorcova chant, an ancestral ritual performed by children on the morning of January 1st. They created handmade “sorcove”, the decorated sticks carried by the children on this occasion, as well as a video product entitled “The merry Sorcova” with details about this endearing New Year custom, that you can watch below.
