In January 2020, the members of the club “The magical world of fairy tales” from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina (Italy) carried out research about the characters of Commedia dell’arte and wrote the profiles of the characters in English.

Commedia dell’arte, meaning “comedy of the profession”, was an early form of professional theatre, originating from Italy, popular in Europe from the 16th to the 18th century. Commedia dell’arte was characterized by masked “types”, and it was both scripted and improvised.

Thus, the club “The magical world of fairy tales” contributed to the preparation for the exchange visit scheduled to take place in Latvia in February 2020, their work being necessary for the parade of characters to be performed by the members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” during the mobility in Latvia.
