Already missing the summer holiday, the members of the club “Nature Wonders” from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) started their activities by sharing impressions and photos taken during their trips and hikes. They used them afterwards to prepare a Photovoice exhibition entitled “Holiday diary”, thus marking World Tourism Day which is celebrated annually on September 27th.

In September 2019, the members of the club “Nature wonders” from the partner school Agrupamento de Escolas de Samora Correia from Samora Correia (Portugal) had their bimonthly meetings on the topic “Environmental protection”, which resulted in research on the assigned topic, interactive and practical activities and peer learning.

The members of the club “Nature wonders” from the partner school Rīgas 22. vidusskola from Rīga (Latvia) worked on the topic “Save our plants”. The pupils visited the National Botanic Garden of Latvia from Salaspils, one of the largest botanical gardens in the Baltic States, and had a workshop in the greenhouse. They also created a petition called “The Earth is thirsty! Fresh Water in Danger” on the platform change.org and invited people to sing it. You can still sign their petition here: http://chng.it/QFrCLcnR8t Their objective was to raise awareness of the environmental problems caused by lack of drinking water, as freshwater – the stuff we drink, bathe in, irrigate our farm fields with – is incredibly rare.
