In December 2018, the clubs “Nature wonders” from all the partner schools started preparing for the exchange visit to Portugal dedicated to their works by doing research and creating PowerPoint presentations on five activities contributing to environmental protection.

The pupils from Liceul Tehnologic ”Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) also researched the topic of protected species and nature reserves from their country, and will use the information for another presentation.

The pupils from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina from Palestrina (Italy) also began working on their presentations about about national parks and natural wonders of central, northern and southern Italy, and also about cultural and tourist events.

The members of the club “Nature wonders” from Agrupamento de Escolas de Samora Correia from Samora Correia (Portugal) worked on the topic of environmental protection by creating a biological farm, recycling clothes and writing a report.

In December 2018, the members of the club “Nature wonders” from Rīgas 22. vidusskola from Rīga (Latvia) worked on the topic of environmental protection by writing a petition on the website change.org in order to raise the awareness of as many people as possible of the environmental problems caused by lack of drinking water. You can sign their petition by following this link: https://www.change.org/p/hand-to-hand-together-in-europe-started-this-petition-to-presidente-del-parlamento-europeo-the-earth-is-thirsty-save-drinking-water

They were also involved in an activity called Ekoskolas dienas Rīgas Tehniska uniersitātē. The purpose of the lesson was to meet with a specialist who told them about innovative ways to recycle biological waste and their transformation into fertilizer or biofuel. Now they know how important is to correctly recycle food waste and to give them a second life!
