For the members of the clubs “It’s us! – songs and dances” from all the partner schools, May 2019 was dedicated to the topic “Dance lesson”, thus aiming to promote folk heritage from the partner countries and respect for cultural diversity. The recordings that they created will be part of the collection “Music, Dance and Colour”.
The pupils from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina from Palestrina (Italy) recorded a dance lesson about “Vinca”, a traditional dance from the town of Bellaria.
The members of the club from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) took part in a stimulating dance lesson at the Children’s Palace from Suceava. Instructed by Ms Mirela Duminică, the girls learnt new choreographies, styles and moves, proving that dance is both a sport and an art, and it never fails to bring us joy and fun. The girls danced to five songs belonging to various music genres, namely Las Ketchup – “Aserejé”, unidentified Latino song (Zumba choreography), Josu Gallastegui – “Big Jumps, Seven Waltzes” (piano music for ballet), Dolly – “Cu capul în nori” and Jean-Jacques Lionel – “La Danse Des Canards”.
