In January 2019, the clubs “Nature wonders” from all the partner schools continued their preparations for the exchange visit to Portugal dedicated to their works by doing research and creating PowerPoint presentations on the topic of preserving natural heritage.

The pupils from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina from Palestrina (Italy) worked very hard on the presentations prepared for the exchange visit to Portugal, namely a PowerPoint presentation about five activities contributing to environmental protection that teachers and students carry out in their school, a presentation about national parks and natural wonders of central, northern and southern Italy, and also a PowerPoint presentation about cultural and tourist events.

The members of the club “Nature wonders” from Liceul Tehnologic ”Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) worked on the topic of preserving natural heritage, and created four collages and an interesting PowerPoint presentation about nature reserves and protected species from their country that will be presented during the exchange visit to Portugal.

In January 2019, the members of the club “Nature wonders” from Agrupamento de Escolas de Samora Correia from Samora Correia (Portugal) continued their work on the topic of environmental protection by creating a biological farm, recycling clothes and writing a report.

The members of the club “Nature wonders” from Rīgas 22. vidusskola from Rīga (Latvia) prepared for the exchange visit to Portugal by creating a video about Latvia. From January 8th till January 28th, they also took part in the activity called Erasmus+ research marathon about environment protection and nature. Below you can read more about their activities.

First week (January 8th-11th): ECO-school “Green heart”- 12th graders conducted lessons with pupils from 5th, 6th and 7th forms on the topics of ecology, experiments, environmental games and quiz.

Second week (January 14th-18th): ECO-master “Second life for unnecessary things ”- there were master classes about plastic and glass bottles, cloth pieces, old wallpaper, newspapers, strings, Christmas tree garlands from which you can make new useful items such as book covers or organizers.       

Third week (January 17th-21st): ECO-art – “Original idea”- Gromova Sofiya, a school girl from 9b form, offered interesting design idea to 2nd graders. By using cloth pieces and boxes you can make an original suit. Do you find it hard to believe? Try it out for yourself!

Fourth week (January 24th-28th): ECO-mosaic 6a form worked on the project “Our partners in Erasmus + projects 2018-2020” – 6th grade students prepared a magazine about Erasmus+ project countries participants in which they talk about culture, traditions, and national cuisine.
