There are voices that express not only the beauty of music, but the very soul of a place and time. One of Romania’s greatest artists, the beloved singer Maria Tănase is considered an important cultural icon of the 20th century. In September 2019, the members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) honoured the queen of Romanian folk music by creating a video product which includes information about this great artist, various photos of her and images from the exhibition “Maria Tănase – a timeless symbol” hosted by the Bukovina Village Museum from Suceava.
The members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina (Italy) organised a workshop on the topic of the march from the ballet “The Nutcracker” with a score by the famous Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
