Among the most important materials presented during the fifth short-term exchange of groups of pupils, hosted online by the coordinating school from Dumbrăveni (Romania) and entitled “The theatre – art of free expression”, were the dramatizations of folk tales from each partner country. Preceded by a short presentation of their author or content, the dramatizations were a delight for all the participants.
The pupils from Rīgas 22. vidusskola from Rīga (Latvia) have chosen a fairy tale about how the hare got married. You can watch their dramatization below.
The members the club “The magical world of fairy tales” from Agrupamento de Escolas de Samora Correia from Samora Correia (Portugal) presented a modern dramatization based on the fairy tale “Caldo da pedra” (“Stone Soup”).
The fairy tale is part of the anthology “Traditional Tales of the Portuguese People”, published by the Portuguese writer, playwright, and politician Teófilo Braga in 1883. The members of the club “The magical world of fairy tales” from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) presented the dramatization based on the fairy tale “The Mother-in-Law with Three Daughters-in-Law” by the Romanian writer Ion Creangă. The memorable main character is the prototype of the mean mother-in-law, and the story perfectly illustrates the saying “What goes around, comes around!”.
The dramatization was performed by the following pupils: Denisa Ștefănucă as the mother-in-law, Bogdan Chiriac as the eldest son, Daniel Vatamanu as the middle son, Andrei Rotaru as the youngest son, Naomi Pristavu as Auntie Elvira, Louisa Anița as the eldest daughter-in-law, Cornelia Macovei as the middle daughter-in-law and Rianna Corduneanu as the youngest daughter-in-law. The material was written and directed by Ms Niculina Pintilii, the coordinator of the project.
