In September 2019, the members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Şehit Ali Aksoy Ortaokulu from Akhisar (Turkey) worked on the topic “Local Music and Dances”. After being informed about the topic, the pupils watched videos in order to enrich their knowledge of local music and dances.
The pupils from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina (Italy) carried out research and then organised a workshop on the topic of the march from the ballet “The Nutcracker” with a score by the famous Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
In September 2019, the girls from the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) visited the exhibition “Maria Tănase – a timeless symbol” hosted by the Bukovina Village Museum from Suceava, and created a video product honouring this beloved singer, known as the queen of Romanian folk music.
In September 2019, the members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from the partner school Agrupamento de Escolas de Samora Correia from Samora Correia (Portugal) had their weekly meetings, and started planning the exchange visit to Latvia.
The pupils from the partner school Rīgas 22. vidusskola from Rīga (Latvia) re-started their regular bimonthly meetings. Their activities had as result enriching pupils’ knowledge about folk and song heritage.
