In November 2018, the pupils from the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) held their first meeting which focused on finding out more about each other and about the partner countries. They visited the “Simion Florea Marian” Memorial House and the Music Section of the “I.G. Sbiera” Bukovina Library from Suceava, which helped surface their musical talent. They also prepared a beautiful artistic performance for an activity dedicated to Bukovina’s Day and to the Centenary of Romania’s Great Union organised in our school as part of the Global Education Week.
At Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina from Palestrina (Italy), the first meeting of the club focused on the presentation of the activities to be carried out in the club, and the second meeting was dedicated to research about traditional and folk songs of central Italy and their geographical area called “stornelli” and traditional and folk dances of north Italy called the “Vinca”.
The members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Rīgas 22. vidusskola from Rīga (Latvia) prepared for their winter holidays performance (they rehearsed tales, made decoration, found music) and New Year song.
In October 2018, the pupils from the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Agrupamento de Escolas de Samora Correia from Samora Correia (Portugal) selected and rehearsed Christmas songs, as well as dances.
In November 2018, the pupils from Şehit Ali Aksoy Ortaokulu from Akhisar (Turkey) were informed about the field of their club during their first meeting, and during the second meeting they focused on research about traditional and folk songs of central ANATOLİAN of TÜRKİYE “Aşık Veysel-Uzun İnce Bir Yoldayım” and traditional and folk dances of the Aegean region of TÜRKİYE “Harmandalı”.
