For the clubs “The magical world of fairy tales” from all the partner schools, the month of March 2019 was dedicated to the celebration of women, as they worked on the topic “Mother figures in fairy tales” in order to honour International Women’s Day (March 8th).
In March 2019, the members of the club from Agrupamento de Escolas de Samora Correia from Samora Correia (Portugal) conducted research on the assigned topic and created five texts.
The pupils from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) honoured International Women’s Day by creating an interesting PowerPoint presentation on the topic “Mother figures in Romanian literature”. The activity inspired them to create handmade cards and write heartfelt wishes for their mothers. The second meeting of the club was dedicated to the great Romanian writer Ion Creangă (1837-1889), whose fairy-tale characters taught the children valuable life lessons.
The pupils from Şehit Ali Aksoy Ortaokulu from Akhisar (Turkey) were first informed about the topic “Mother figures in fairy tales” and the teacher in charge of the club distributed duties among them. During their second meeting, the pupils created a video and a PowerPoint presentation about Women’s Day.
The members of the club “The magical world of fairy tales” from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina from Palestrina (Italy) did research and created a PowerPoint presentation about important women.
The pupils from Rīgas 22. vidusskola from Rīga (Latvia) created books about fairy-tales.
