In March 2019, the clubs “Nature wonders” from all the partner schools worked on the topic “Roots: my hometown”, aiming to promote the cultural heritage from all the partners’ hometowns, enhance pupils’ ICT abilities and foster teamwork skills.
The pupils from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina from Palestrina (Italy) researched the topic and created projects for leaflets for the knowledge and the promotion of Palestrina.
The members of the club “Nature wonders” from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) delighted in watching the documentary “Untamed Romania” and discussed about our responsibility in protecting endangered species. After filling in worksheets about species from Romania protected by law, they made a collage on this topic and wrote messages pleading for the protection of nature that were distributed in their local community. During the second meeting, the pupils researched the topic of caves, making a Top 10 list of Romanian caves, and used the information to create a PowerPoint presentation.
The pupils from Şehit Ali Aksoy Ortaokulu from Akhisar (Turkey) were first informed about the topic “Roots: my hometown” and then they investigated attractive tourist destinations from their region, but also from partner countries, and also created a Power Point presentation on tourist destinations.
The activities of the club “Nature wonders” from Agrupamento de Escolas de Samora Correia from Samora Correia (Portugal) had as purposes promoting the town of Samora Correia as an attractive tourist destination and adding new materials to the collection “Beyond the borders”.
The members of the club “Nature wonders” from Rīgas 22. vidusskola from Rīga (Latvia) conducted research on the topic of water.
