In June 2019, the clubs “It’s us! – songs and dances” from all the partner schools worked on the topic “Rare authentic songs”, aiming to promote authentic folklore from their countries.
The pupils from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina from Palestrina (Italy) created videos about the works of the club on traditional authentic songs (“stornelli and canzoni”, “Roma nun fa la stupida stasera”, “Tanto pe’ cantà”) and dances (“La Gatta Cenerentola”).
The pupils from Şehit Ali Aksoy Ortaokulu from Akhisar (Turkey) first received information about the topic “Rare authentic songs” and carried out research. Then, the pupils and club teachers performed a Turkish folk song.
The members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) travelled to the captivating world of the Romanian traditional village, and prepared video products about two essential Romanian folk elements: the hora and the doina. In the beautiful setting of the Bukovina Village Museum from Suceava and dressed in stunning folk costumes, they recorded three lively hore and also a rare authentic doina, performed by the very talented Denisa Ștefănucă.
