In February 2019, the meetings of the club “Art heritage” from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) were again dedicated to ancient folk crafts, namely decorating Romanian peasant blouses and traditional weaving. The pupils put these two crafts into practice in the school’s workshop, visited an ethnographic collection from Dumbrăveni and created a video about sewing and weaving techniques called “The intricate art of textiles”.
The members of the club “Art heritage” from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina from Palestrina (Italy) continued their work on handmade key-rings, as well as their works on folklore, namely about Befana and Carnival, and also created products using the technique of embroidery.
In February 2019, the members of the club “Art heritage” from Şehit Ali Aksoy Ortaokulu from Akhisar (Turkey) received information about the topic of pottery making and during their second meeting they created pottery ware.
The members of the club “Art heritage” from Rīgas 22. vidusskola from Rīga (Latvia) went on trip to the nearby town of Sigluda and took part in various creative workshops organised at Sigluda Castle, such as leather workshop, paper and postcard workshop, ceramic workshop and cane making workshop. Sigluda is beautiful at any time of the year, and winter is no exception. The picturesque landscapes of “Lifland Switzerland” will appear in front of the guests in all their glory, and cultural and historical monuments and craft workshops will reveal all their secrets.
