In February 2020, the members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Şehit Ali Aksoy Ortaokulu from Akhisar (Turkey) created a video about the activities carried out within the club between November 2018 and February 2020, as preparation for the exchange visit to Latvia.

The members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from the partner school Agrupamento de Escolas de Samora Correia from Samora Correia (Portugal) had rehearsals and prepared for the exchange visit to Latvia, their activities resulting in enriching pupils’ knowledge about folk and song heritage.

The pupils from the partner school Rīgas 22. vidusskola from Rīga (Latvia) contributed to the preparation for and organisation of the short-term exchange of groups of pupils hosted by their school.

The club from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) organised the contest “Songs of Romania” in order to select a traditional song and dance to be performed by the club members during the exchange visit to Latvia. The contest was an opportunity to get to know and enjoy beautiful folk songs performed by six contestants from the 3rd, 6th and 8th grades.

The girls also rehearsed the traditional dance and the presentations about musical and folk heritage, as final preparations for the fourth short-term exchange of groups of pupils scheduled to be hosted by partner school from Rīga (Latvia) between February 17th and 21st, 2020.

In February 2020, the members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Istituto Comprensivo “Giovanni Pierluigi” Palestrina (Italy) worked on the topic entitled “Sweet musical notes”. During their first meeting, they carried out research about the ballet “La Danza delle Ore” from the opera “La Gioconda” by Italian composer Amilcare Ponchielli (1834-1886). During their second meeting, they created a choreography for this beautiful piece and recorded a video.
