The last materials presented during the second short-term exchange of groups of pupils that was hosted by the partner school Şehit Ali Aksoy Ortaokulu from Akhisar (Turkey) between May 13th and 17th, 2019, were PowerPoint presentations and videos about traditional cuisine. Each team of pupils delighted the audience with mouth-watering details about traditional dishes from their country.
Traditional Romanian cuisine is incredibly rich and hearty, with intense flavours, complex recipes and various influences, which vary according to region. The members of the club “Art heritage” from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) included in their presentation recipes for sour soup from Banat, stuffed polenta balls from Ardeal, Pleșcoi sausages from Muntenia, fish stew from Dobrogea, and brioche buns from Moldov. Their presentation finished with a video recipe for stuffed cabbage rolls, considered by many to be Romania’s national dish. The Italian team also presented two videos recorded at school showing the pupils practising their culinary skills by cooking tagliatelle (a traditional pasta made with flour and eggs) and ciambelline (traditional donuts made with wine), and also preparing healthy traditional snacks.
