In January 2019, to mark the double celebration of the birthday of Romania’s iconic poet, Mihai Eminescu, and National Culture Day, the members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Eminescu” Dumbrăveni (Romania) performed fragments from two poems by Mihai Eminescu, “Mai am un singur dor” (“One Wish Alone Have I”) and “Pe lângă plopii fără soț” (“Down Where the Lonely Poplars Grow”). The poems were set to music by the composer Guilelm Șorban and the translation by Corneliu M. Popescu was used for the subtitles.
The members of the club “It’s us! – songs and dances” from Şehit Ali Aksoy Ortaokulu from Akhisar (Turkey) rehearsed and performed the traditional folk dance called “Zeybek”. Below you can see the videos recorded during their meeting.
